Deserves more than five stars. An eclectic range of dishes, cooked to perfection and served by the most kind and friendly personnel in a cozy setting. Go there, you won't regret it. I'll definitely be back.

Right across from the newly opened Candeo hotel, this place was fairly empty on a Wednesday night but the food was amazing. We just wanted to grab a late night snack and this small izakaya definitely hit the spot. Bonus points bc they let you grate your own wasabi!

Friendly staff, cozy place, delicious food! Not much English is spoken but most items have pictures beside them. They are more than willing to explain as best as they can. There is smoking inside but it's extremely well ventilated.

20230223 - an Izakaya that offers good local Japanese sake and foods. Staffs are really busy but friendly, can speak simple English and always provide service with smile. Do not hesitate to ask for your recommendation if you don’t know what the best to order. Seafood, meats and vegetables are fresh. Really loved the oyster, grilled Shiitake mushrooms and seafood pancake. Very big boy taste. Impressive! It’s not a big restaurant, internal space is narrow but a really lovely one!

We (group of 7) were on the hunt for a place for a quick nightcap, and were put off by some of the trendy, high end places nearby. We saw this inconspicuous looking establishment with a sliding door and a Japanese sign (Btw we're all visiting and do not speak nor read Japanese). I opened the door to peek in and saw that it was a cozy izakaya. I asked "sake?" They smiled and welcomed us in. Everyone was very friendly and polite. The old chef in the middle was a real cool cat. Drinks were great, and so was the food. This place is a real hidden gem and I'll be coming back for sure. Thanks for saving our night.

I loved this place, but some in our group didn't. I thought the style of restaurant with the chef in the middle cooking and bonding with everyone was a perfect way to spend our last night in Tokyo. Others felt that we were treated differently as Westerners (given an average snack to justify a cover charge, and not offered a hot napkin). We were the only tourists in the place, so we felt a bit out of place, but I thought the staff was welcoming. I suppose it depends on your outlook. Note that the portions are tiny so a full meal does get expensive here.
